Noma dishwasher gave the speech of thanks
01. May 2012

Alieu Sonko could barely get his arms down. Yesterday he was in London with his counterparts from Noma, where the restaurant for the third consecutive year won the award as the world's best.

- I am very, very happy. I can not verbalize it, says a smiling Alieu Sonko, who yesterday stood before thanking speech on behalf of Noma.

- When we won, I was super happy. So I said to the boss that I would say a few words. And I got permission, says Noma dishwasher Alieu Sonko.

- I would like to say many things, but there was not much time. So I did not say everything I wanted. Most were about how happy we were, he continues.

We are a team
Alieu Sonko is well aware that it is not him who makes the food at Noma.

- Although it's the chefs who cook, we are a team. This is important. It's also why I was allowed to talk, he says, smiling, while a newspaper photographer is busy photographing the new star dishwasher.

This is where Alieu works as part of the team: I watched the video all very well presented and I am sure delicious but I think that the portions were very small and I would have to go for a good curry after eating those morsels of twee food.

"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.
