I am not a keen supporter of Halifa, but I find it deem to say that he is the most viable, credible, and capable candidate to defeat Oga in 2016 election. I wish Halifa set up a task force and start working on modalities as well as raising funds now. I will support his bid financially, emotionally, physically and any other means to realize our goal that is to win.
What do my fellow Bantaba panel think.

I must admit and apologize Mr. Sallah for all the negative comments I did made against him. I fully pleadge my alligiance and support to Mr. Sallah forthweek. On that note, I want all the supporters to join with me an open a facebook account under the name "Halifa for President 2016". With this social integration method, we will be able to gather suggestions, inputs, assistance, discussions about ways and strageties needed to raise funds and campaign gears and logistics in large quantities and get prepared sooner.
Any suggestion(s) |

PDOIS Press Release 11 Febraury 2012 quote: "PDOIS has recognized from the very inception of its existence that leadership in a sovereign Republic is not a birthright but a privilege that should be acquired through the undiluted consent of a sovereign people. PDOIS’ primary preoccupation since its inception is to contribute to the founding of a democratic state where the sovereign Gambian people will be free from all inducement and intimidation and will select their leaders from amongst candidates who are unhindered, unshackled and fully free to put their policies, plans and programmes before them on how to enhance their liberty and prosperity
Our primary preoccupation is not to see PDOIS at the helm by hook or by crook in the life time of its founders.
Our fundamental objective is to create a democratic foundation for genuine multi party contest so that each party will go it alone to seek the mandate of the people by putting its principles, policies, plans, programmes and activities in the public space to enable people make informed choices.
PDOIS has the Commitment to see in place a genuine electoral system in the Gambia in our life time."

One thing I hope we can all take into consideration, is the fact that countries, like all human endeavors need a deliberate and conscious attempt in its development and growth potentials. Thus people who lead countries should also be deliberate and conscious in mapping out a development and growth strategy, that will not only eradicate the poverty of the people, but will also enlarge their freedom and liberty to freely utilize their God given talents. Nobody should live under a climate of fear.
After almost thirty years of the first republic, and seventeenth years into the second republic, we need leaders who are deliberate and conscious in mapping out a development and growth strategy, that will not only eradicate the poverty of the people, but will also enlarge their freedom and liberty.
The struggle to attain these objectives is now. Not in 2016, but now. The opposition political parties, and by extension the Gambian people should demand that there should be electoral reforms now. They should demand that there should be constitutional reforms now, that will introduce a two-term limit to the presidency and reintroduce the second round of voting. All these reforms should take place before the 2016 elections. This is the only way the country can have a chance for its rebirth.

Thanks, sankalanka your statement gives hope and confirms that there is a demand for clarity.
None will support a project without a cost estimate that deliberately and consciously outline a development and growth strategy that is determinate. A political party, a research project, or a business idea has to have a budget or cost assessment to be reliable for sponsors and financiers. Therefore it is a budget proposition that visualizes a ”deliberate and conscious development and growth strategy”, and it is in a budget where a political ideology is materialized and evaluated.
