This story in the D.O. highlights a cultural dependence on things supernatural and not of this world,that's how it is in Gambia,my question is for information as to are these charms prohibited items ,in other words things NOT to be taken into prisons in Gambia, if so the defendant has broken the rules and should be dealt with under the rules,if the items are not prohibited then they are allowed the fact that MANY Gambians hold beliefs that charms work should not be a criminal offence and be subject to an excessive amount of bail,that I doubt many can afford,result the defendant will remain in custody until a court hearing.

A matter of personal belief,or something else ?

Anyone want to discuss this ?
