"At the hotel Terrou-bi earlier, Macky Sall, who will probably be released the second presidential election of February 26 and will therefore face the incumbent president, Abdoulaye Wade, in the second round, came walk-in his campaign whose term is scheduled on the evening of March 18.

Having thanked the Senegalese who voted for him and all the people of Senegal who has shown great maturity, it announced sweeping reforms in case he is elected. The most important is certainly committed to reducing its mandate to 5 years (currently at 7), in accordance with the constitutional reform that intends to undertake to respect the number and duration of the presidential term. Thus, the mandate will be reduced to 5 years and the number of presidential terms reduced to two. Importantly, we intend to ensure that these provisions can not be revised. Another important point is the reform of the famous Constitutional Council whose number of members, now 5, will be increased to 7: 3 shall be elected by the President, one by the presidential parliamentary opposition a perf Parliamentary and the remaining two by the judges themselves.

Macky has not failed to reaffirm its roots in the movement of 23 June and to call all its members, citing namely all unsuccessful applicants, which he count on the support to complete the work started. He even hinted that he is not considering a lonely power management, which seems to augur well for an inclusive government."

SENEWEB TRANSLATED NEWS;

"The president of the Coalition Macky 2012 faced the national and international press on Wednesday 29 February 2012. Projects it has for Senegal to abolish the post of Vice Presidency through the Casamance crisis and anguish of a lost year, former Prime Minister has omitted nothing. He, after his statement, answered all the questions from the press came very numerous. Here are the highlights of this meeting.

"We have the opportunity to take another path and to open new perspective"

"Senegal is at a turning point in his quest for freedom, justice, peace and development. Today we have the opportunity to take another path and create new opportunities for our people. This is the meaning of the ambitious, realistic and costed, the path of true development, and I propose that takes particular account of findings of national meetings. Despite the good performance of 1 st round, we are not, however, immune from forfeiture of the popular will. I invite you all to exercise the utmost vigilance, to stay the course of the mobilization and complete the process for a new democratic change. "

Teachers' strike and spectrum of a blank year

"I called already the teachers on strike to save the school year. Once elected, I pledge to immediately initiate negotiations with all stakeholders inclusive of the school. I also undertake to implement the early days of my term, immediate action to reduce prices of first necessity, the bag of rice, oil and sugar. "

Casamance crisis

For obvious reasons in the context of finding a definitive solution for peace in Casamance, my first trip will be for this country that is inside of Senegal, Gambia and Guinea Bissau who is a friend and brother.

Face to face with Wade on TV

"Of course I am ready. If ready, I am. I agree. I have no problem, even if it is tomorrow, I have no problem. But it's still a father. You know, we are in Africa. One father even if the terrace must do it gently. Do not do too much damage. Especially since I did his school, as he says. So I know the recipes. "

Elimination of the Vice Presidency

"The Vice President I will delete the. Because it is anachronistic. In a system where you have a Prime Minister who is the head of government, the vice president has no place. So it is a path that was set as part of combination politician just assuming a succession of dynastic type in any case combination of politician who aim to put someone in charge of the country. On my arrival I shall propose the outright suppression of vice president. "

Macky Sall condemned the incidents that occurred in his camp and party invites his brothers to show exceeded discipline

"I regret the incidents that occurred here. I understand that it is the nerves that have been strained in recent days, after days of campaign, for some it was just before the election and for others it is three days ago. These are incidents that I condemn. I urge all our leaders to know that the world is watching over us and our behavior. Anyway I can guarantee you that if I am elected, the disorder that is now at the top of the state, will not happen. That I give you my word on it. I invite each other to understand the issues and to excel and to show exceeded discipline even when they are provoked. In any case I regret it. ""

FREEDOM NEWS;

SENEWEB TRANSLATED;

"The outgoing president of Senegal, Abdoulaye Wade, will face his former prime minister spent in opposition, Macky Sall, the second round of presidential elections on March 18. Unthinkable scenario in Africa: a second round in a presidential election! The Senegalese people has accomplished this feat, despite the pitfalls of the outgoing president, whose coup to spend a third term was brushing against the civil war in this country of West Africa. Senegal, ultimately, deserves the epithet of the first democracy on African soil when Wade, the same man who discovered his inclinations to his late dictator, was overthrown in 2000 by the ballot box, Abdou Diouf, the student of Father of Independence, Leopold Senghor. Wade will be in front of him, on March 18, Macky Sall, his former right hand man, aged 35 years his junior, and he boosted himself in politics.

The Senegalese voted, waited and enjoyed the results of the first round in the calm. Unlike many African countries, where the aftermath of elections are responsible for tensions and violence, the Dakar had waited for the results, quiet but attentive and engaged. There were no scenes of violence, as the observers assumed. Aftermath of the election which contrast with the onset of fever that has swept the country before the election of 26 February. Wade knows he has no chance, even the third man of presidential, Moustapha Niass, can not play the role of kingmaker.

Macky Sall will benefit from the premium of the man who shook the president. He who was prime minister before becoming his rival did not need to warn against the usurpation of power. And Wade also understood that the Senegalese people will not let anyone who wants to rob and violate its sovereignty would be the responsibility of his wrath. An anger that has scolded enough, when "Gorgui" (the Old, in Wolof) has left contaminated by the fever of power, endemic among his African peers."

If wisdom serves better Wade has great chance to get packing. What kind of greed is this ? No wonder some people believe that Jammeh and Wade belong to to same breed of greedy beings.
