The fact that tourists don't buy from the market traders is a sad fact of life but mostly indicative of the kind of people who holiday in the Gambia.I remember standing at Bakau craft market when a coach pulled up and about 30 people got out to look around. I went off for a drink and returned about 30 minutes later. When I enquired of the traders what had happened they said no one had bought anything.
