Somebody didn't put the write up in ,never mind mistakes happen even at the D.O. the reason is probably, "Efforts to speak to GPA officials to shed light on the issue proved futile."
Ah......... well these things happen in Gambia, Attaya anyone ?

James Island ferry sinks
Africa » Gambia
Friday, October 21, 2011
The ferry named after James Island, which plies the Bamba-Tenda to Yelli-Tenda crossing point sank Tuesday night. According to sources close to Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) officials on the ground, the ferry was on service the whole of Tuesday and had berthed at its parking point at Bamba-Tenda.

“The following day, Wednesday morning, when we reported for work, we found out that the ferry was inside the river,” one of the officials said. He added that there were no casualties.

Shortly after the news broke out, officials of the Fire and Rescue Service in Farafenni rushed to the scene to get the ferry out of the water but to no avail. Efforts to speak to GPA officials to shed light on the issue proved futile.
