Janyanfara .There is no need at all to justify your position it has nothing at all to do with the topic that you have posted, you yourself know that MANY Gambian men would like to leave Gambia and travel and perhaps make a better life than they think they can expect in Gambia,a poor country, let's face it ,where salaries that are paid are only just about enough to keep a family, and that is if you are lucky enough to have a job something that MANY Gambians have not had the opportunity to have,youths especially now have access to all forms of communication to the world outside Gambia and want to be part of that,look in any internet cafe in Gambia and see how many youths are on social networking sites and marriage sites.
Opportunities are limited in Gambia,the question then arises how are they able to enter this world of gold, answer get married to a woman from UK US or any western country who will be able to pay their fare to leave the country and to gain entry to the country of the wife with no problems,once there to get a job,BUT reality sets in very soon, jobs are hard to find and the country that they have gone to isn't made of gold,its hard.Friction will develop between the husband and wife if what you had expected is unfulfilled together with the additional pressure put on the husband to take care of his relatives who in SOME cases will think that he has vast amounts of money available to him and why dosn't he send them more? |

I don't even know what you talking about? Oh if you have gone naughts? The topic above is simple and I only put a coat to ask an honest question and it was not even my verdict on the said topic I only saw it and felt we should debate on it.
If you felt I want my position justified well you don't and will never know me. Do you think everyone who comes to Europe has come for greener pastures? What is better about life here? With everyone stressing out against foreigners blaming them for everything. You know I don't have to tell you that your country had taken everything you call wealth from outside your boarders. Were we not paying taxes to your realm for four hundred years? How much has your colonies contributed towards the success of this nation?
Some of you are so shallow minded that you tend to forget history. We lived and died to safe this country that used to be the great empire and now that you had everything you are accusing those who worked with you during hard times of looking for greener pasture. Have you not read history? How many Gambians died for you when Hitler almost destroyed your very existence? Sometime it is wise to use your brain before accusing others.
Some Gambian men/women do come to your country to learn your language YOU imposed on us and which you now make billions out of for you charge each 9thousand pounds a year for such cause you used to say is better than silver and gold and people should be persuaded to learn.
Lets face it ya you right but first the corrupt governments in Africa who keeps them in power?
Who does business with them?
Who kept the South African Apartheid Regime calling Nelson Mandela a terrorist?
If your women come to Gambia lets say on Holidays, how do they end up with men on the streets young enough to be their grand children? Are they not there looking for cheap men who because of poverty would fall for any rich woman? Is it not the same here riches riches while the poor sleep on the streets?
I would want to go back to my country any time the dictator is not getting help from Europe and other so called super powers.x |

This post is about cheating men. How funny to 'name and shame' them! The worm has turned!
When I first visited Gambia I had no idea that many Gambian men were such players. I had no idea that they were all after visas. Of course you learn fast! 
I view Gambian men with suspicion now. Many are very nice genuine people, but it is hard to pick out the bad apples from the barrel. Who can you trust?
In Gambia it is legal for a man to have 4 wives, so the issue of faithfulness, which is so important to many Western women, is not important to a lot of Gambian men. I think you have to be able to accept that if you are going to marry a Gambian.
When you visit for a couple of weeks it is easy to be presented with a certain view of the person. They can hide children or wives by sending them away visiting. It can be a deception on quite an amazing scale.
I would love to hear of success, happy relationships between Gambians and people from the UK. I know of one or two. Most end up with the man 'changing' as soon as he has the visa.

You are right Bev sorry about the diversion but it realy gets up my nose we get the blame for all Gambis and others ills from the likes of .Janyanfara and his ilk
They hsve had 40 to 60 years to get them selfs sorted Africa is one of the rishes continents snd one of the poorest peple DOT BLAME US Ill post else where now back to topic |

If Africa is that rich as you said how comes it leaders instead of saving money in African Banks would safe everything in your Banks and Build or buy 100s of properties and villas in your town and you knew about it but you would encourage it?
Tell me one African Leader that does not have a western government backing just one? You supply them with weapons and armory to kill their people non stop. You remember in Ivory Coast the Trafigura UK OIL company 31,000 victims of toxic dumping Secret where many people were killed while many still continue to suffer as a result? Why would that company not dump such poisons in UK or Europe? Maybe you don't even know about that. My friend MANY MANY like that are happening and if that is what you called being on our own for 40 to 60 years, I prefer colonialism to come back so that we pay tax to the crown once more. At least we would get some rights but so called independence when the citizens are neither here nor there is a farce!
Back to the topic shaming cheating Gambian men!
How about the other way round if any of you think our men marry you for paper, why don't you reject the advances in the first place? Can't you keep your selves against muscled Black men?
If you go on holidays and not men hunting, stick to that holiday and enjoy your selves not become so committed that you would be compelled to wear the ring or marry in mosques because of sham love period. I will not sit and see my people been insulted while I clap no way. The fault is two ways and you don't want to admit it. Keep to your selves while we try on our own.! |

you raise some valid points but also not forgetting the billions and billions of dollars pored in to Africa over the years in aid.
So for me that part of the topic is closed
We hear all you say about the rest of the men in the world but Bev has asked a valid question. That Gambian women feel so strongly about they have opended a web site |
