Looking closely at what is happening in Libya, there are good reasons to think that unless Yaya Jammeh sees sense and leaves Gambia in peace, some day something like this can happen in Gambia. Most of the people fighting to tear Gaddaffi from a Libya he cemented in 42 years are in the age bracket of 42 and below. Compared to Gambia, if Yahya Jammeh is permitted to stay on till he reaches the time line of Gaddaffi today's Gambian babies will turn into tomorrow's redeemers. Jammeh has no magic to keep going after certain time limit. Certainly, Jammeh has no intention of leaving power in peace. He is deluded to the extent of making people believe that this sand and cement development is justification for even the unborn Gambians to ask him stay on. That is totally a false notion. Those who induce Jammeh with false hope are doing so for selfish reasons. They don't care what happens to the next generation Gambia.
If Col Gaddaffi could fall, certainly Jammeh will fall. What we don't want is to cause the next generation suffer for what is not their making.
Mr Jammeh, take close look at scenes from Libya. Take lessons and spare us trouble. Go in peace before you are taken in pieces.
