Towards his ambition of self perpetration and full scale deception Jammeh butchered whole Gambian constitution to suit his selfish desire. D.A. Jawo gives detailed account of how Jammeh swallows his own words and breaks promises as he clearly fails the nation. Jawo is now asking how long will Gambia keep Jammeh clinging:

Election Countdown: How long will Jammeh cling on to power?

More details from Essa Bokarr who points out legal loopholes set out by the Jammeh regime in ensuring an overstay. My question to Jammeh is whether or not he is conscious of implications for his misleading ways. No doubt he knows what he is doing. It is just that a truly gentle person will not choose to go this way with people who never suspect you could deceive them.

Here is what Essa Bokarr Sey exposed:

THE GAMBIA’S NOVEMBER ELECTIONS-#8203;I E C IS MISLEADING THE PEOPLE-A F P R C DECREE 78, IS STILL IN FULL FORCE!

bro karamba,
the bandit has not only hijacked the constitution, he has no respect for a united Gambia. This Man's dream is a kingdom where his tribe would form the majority. Visit the Gambia God forbid is this devil remains in power in the next 10 years. If there is any citizenship count to say it bluntly, watch out for the Jola population. You would be surprised with eyes wide opened!

This what one Gambian in particular thought of what Sey had to say on that forum.
Well here's an answer to your question Karamba coming from one of the contributors on the hellogambia.com website from Lion King

[quote]...None of these Vultures wants peace in our country and they and their boss,Bokar Sey will die waiting for Change.Change has already happened for good and that is why the majority of Gambians are so thankful to God .May God bless the Gambia and save the president…..ameen!

He's seen as a Loser a armchair woulda coulda shoulda of been nothing more and nothing less. In fact its sicken the lengths people will go to elevate their egos at the cost of sacrifices innocent peoples lives. The Gambian people will chose the election box rather than a bloody Civil War. Time and time again Essa has come out with these statements of inciting coups in Gambia. Let's hope those who are tempted in listening to his calls suppress them because everytime his calls are taken seriously those who heed them rot in Mile Two while Essa and his foxes slink about in the night.Again Essa has left a trail of coup incitement right across Social Media. Karamba you just can't help yourself ha.

Peace

On a more blunt matter of fact, Gambians do not need Esaa Sey to know that captain Jammeh butchered the sacred constitution to suit his wild desire for self perpetuation. That is pure truth without needing Essa Bokarr Sey to paint it clearer.

Enough is enough. There is no more magic. In this day and time, it beats reason to imagine one person sitting in the driver's seat for life carriage. Unless Jammeh is consumed by his extreme personal desires, there are reasons to help him understand that one person is not fit enough to lead beyond limit.

What many Gambians find intolerable is the forceful self perpetuation by Jammeh in the most cunning ways. I share that same position. Nothing against captain Jammeh but he needs to reason better.

And you know for fact that the alleged coup attempts you are referring to where people are 'rotting in mile two" are actual and not a twisted figment of someone's imagination? Do you follow these trials to see that justice has/hasn't prevailed or did you accidently jump on the bandwagon?

quote:
"If you are neutral in situations of injustice you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality." Bishop Desmond Tutu

And make no mistake who allows this to happen!!

On the wider balance of matters, Jammeh is not alone that wrecks Gambia. There are bunches of people who make him believe that he is right in doing whatever he does wrong. What they don't take into account is that no matter how much military power Jammeh employs to prevail on Gambians, he could not make the country his personal possession even though we all know that's how he acts and wants everyone accept him for it.

Be aware Scorpionrain, when you open your eyes to view the many wrongs of Jammeh, that is perceived by people like Sister Omega that you have refused seeing the truth. In the views of Sister Omega, Jammeh is voted into power by 50 plus percent of Gambian voters. He is popular, and Gambians want him stay for life. Those who question the rationale for Jammeh's self perpetuation are trouble shooters. They are engaged in terror.

What Sister Omega flatly denies to account is that the first day Jammeh came to power, he was not voted. After seizing power by force, Jammeh controls military forces, national resources, and all public institutions to portray himself as THE ONLY capable person on planet earth to sit there misruling Gambia as he does.

"Power to the people, accountability, transparency, probity, overstaying in power." These were Jammeh's slogans as he forced his way into power. Now when we demand that here, Sister Omega sees that as incitement of violence.

Is it not time that Jammeh becomes conscious, fair, and frank to himself to step down in peace? He could not be wrong to condemn the previous regime of overstaying. Where he gets it all wrong now is when he too wants to overstay and ready to cut the heads of people who challenge that.

It has taken all the time to deliver this simple message to people like Sister Omega. We have gone this long on the journey towards normal life in Gambia because Jammeh is set on wrong footing and yet he has people telling him he is right.

Gambians want Jammeh to remember that he condemned overstaying in July 1994. He was right. This year too (2011) it is right to condemn overstaying. This is no insult. Let anyone use a sledge hammer to crack the nut of this truth and see how far it goes. No doubt Jammeh is fully aware of his wrongful overstaying in power.

What pained Jammeh to seize power in 1994 is what is paining many other caring and concerned Gambians watching him overstay. He used military power to dislodge an elected government. Gambians of good civil obedience and peaceful orientation would not choose to use guns to dislodge Jammeh. That is one good reason why he does not have to overstay on for that may provoke less patient ones to think of dislodging him in similar manner as he did. That is not good for Gambia at all.

Fair play is all that peace loving-Gambians are asking for. It is fallacious to peddle that in the absence of Jammeh, Gambians are unable to advance the nation. Consider the cost of keeping Jammeh in that position and see how much Gambia is paying along various cost items.

Good, good Scorpiorain. I have no doubt you are watching. Soon one of the Jammeh fire bearers will spark near your space. They are in the bad game of twisting their necks towards the reading on the compass. Deep in them, they know everything is wrong. We have seen them gone typically hysterical when a dose of information about the Jammeh wrongs is injected. Rather than use logic to engage in reasoned debate, they go really agressive lot of times. We have learnt about their pain. But the truth is Jammeh could not be right for having to condemn some people on claims of overstaying and corruption only for him to get other people wrong as he turns more corrupt and threatens overstaying. That is very unsafe. Even if Jammeh knows he could not overstay the way he wants it, the danger is that some less patient Gambians will take that for granted and challenge him in rough ways. We can't sit to wait Jammeh and those prepared to take on him in violent ways drive the nation to that state of affairs. If there are people out there or Jammeh himself reading us, he is better informed to consider stepping down and keep everyone out of danger. That is the simple and straight message. Jammeh does not own Gambia like a property tycoon owns private estates. To permit permit Jammeh and all those that disagree with take the nation to extreme situations is least preferred. I don't mind Jammeh stealing everything on Gambian soil but will slot everything within my means to ensure he does not lead this good country into choas. This is no appeal. It is simply stating fact of the matter at hand.

Maybe they don't want to search deep inside and break with their beliefs because if Jammeh indeed butchered the Gambian Constitution, how can they come to terms with being so wrong? How can one claim to work for and uphold human rights then laugh at the mouse with the elephant on his tail??

There are so many sections of the constitution being blatently violated that I wouldn't know where to begin!

To create more space for other people in dealing with what Jammeh brought on Gambia and Gambians since that unlawful 22 July 1994 robbery of Gambia, it requires some people to pay attention on the HISTORY of the revolution. There are growing young Gambians who could have been robbed of truth. By constant reminder of the true history the next generation will easily put the pieces together. This particular manner of robbing power by force of military gears is one piece of material evidence the next generation needs to examine.

History can be that cruel where the doer of actions could not bribe historical reality.
