It is with a heavy hearth that I announce the passing away of a brother and a comrade Dr. Omar K. Touray from Karantaba, Sami District.
The late Omar Touray made history in the Gambia and perhaps in the whole of Aftica when he contested for PDOIS in a parliamentary elections against his own brother of the same mother and father (ex. minister Sarjo Touray under the PPP Government).
My sincere condolences to the entire extended family, friends and Comrades.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Momodou, my condolence to you, family and friends of late Dr Omar Touray. Dr Touray had a stable persona and purpose driven. He was principled and service oriented.

| My condolences to you Momodou and the Touray Family, We are losing a lot of great men in our history and there is no extensive information of the legacy of these Gambians, Its really sad that the future generation will have no knowledge of these very important subjects......................Peace |

Karamba's Eulogy of Dr. Omar Touray...Going by what is coming from those that were closed to him, I think the man was a true inspiration. It is really a loss for the Gambia and the entire world. That such a promising world citizen could be just snatched away by death from us, is not out of the equation as nature dictates, but truly creates a gap hard to fill.

We must mourn this one together. I have never met the man. I am glad to hear all these great things about him. It makes the difference between humulity or aggression; being true to concience or fake; being a representive to the people or terror. While many achieve greatness through their efforts to support humanity, to many others, it is a natural gift. If you are one gifted with such wisdom, then ablaze and a red-carpet awaits you when the last hour comes. I think the Dr. Touray was both naturally gifted and he earned it too through his struggle. Think about it -
