Well, even though the internet giants on the bantaba can´t see the good things the man is doing people are seeing the good impact Jammeh is having on us Gambians on the ground. Jammeh´s name is all over my voters card. Just came back from Gambia and the impression is never ending- |

Yeah sister O and thanks for asking. Unlike many of these internet warriors I found The Gambia to be very enjoyable despite all the negativities attributed to its government. The Gambia has now turned out to be a very corporate country you can see that when you enter into business there. So yes there is prosperity, development in infrastructure, less police harrassment of the drivers and best of allbetter roads, medical services and education. Viva Yahya Jammeh. long live The Gambia |

I was in Gambia in Feb/March and I can see the improvement and development. No question, Gambia still has many problems. Gambia is one of the 30 poorest country in the world. A lots of health, education, social and infrastructure problems. Literacy rate is 40 percent and functional literacy rate is much less. Yes government system is far from standard. But stability and security must be maintained. I can't understand some of the critics ignoring all these and expecting short term changes. It is not going to be quickly.
Gambia is on track. I see many positives and I hope stability and security along with development continues. In the long run, it will get better. I will be going again soon and I expect the same observation. |
diaspora! Too many Chiefs and Very Few Indians.
Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

Turks I wonder if all you said are true why you did not stay and contribute your coata to nation building if you truely love your country? Oh are you Turkish? Sometimes people with low vission can't understand.Even if Yahya Jammeh's government has provided Microlights in the Gambia instead of cars, without human development, it is a complete waiste. The people matter more than anything else. If Gambians cannot freely speak up, if Gambians can get arrested for periods beyond the constitutional stipulated times of 72 hours without charge, if Gambians can disappear when their families and friends were present they were picked up by state agents and yet government denies having them, if people live in a state of fear, death and Blood, then everything else is zero.I hope you guys get that in your thick skulls. |
