Dr. Nkrumah is of course famous for his times. It is certainly known about his contributions to Ghana. It is a well known fact that his dream was more than just Ghana. It was for a united Africa. I know Africa is continually blessed with great sons and daughters, but with the many wars that marred the continent, one wonders why Africa can’t get to where she should have been. It poses the great question as to what obligation does our educated elites residing outside the continent owe Africa? In the phase of dictatorships in most African countries, one wonders what alternative African sons and daughters can put in place to compensate for their absence. Certainly you can’t blame them for not going home to join a dictatorship or to be victimized by a dictator by being around. If you know the answer, please feel free to share.
Happy father’s day to all!

Thanks for your rejoinder. I too will agree with your lines above, with real caution over who propels to the table either by default or accident. I hope some of the current tyrannical leaders in Africa shamefully masquerading in the uniforms of the presidency don't make it to that table, because that would still get us into darker holes.
