The revolution will not be televised is the poem that brought Gill Scott-Heron to international acclaim as a Socio-Political African Amercan Poet. He broughtto the world's attention the struggles against racism fighting for human rights and social justice. He spoke out for ordinary people whose rights weren't protected and their struggles would not be televised in 1960's and 70's. He will be sadly missed. May he rest in Perfect peace.
