Kobo, it's business as usual, even in court, appeals on not, Rambo is AWOL, and it seems
he's never been a Mile 2 inmate. Everyone is mute, and Yahya Jammeh's silence is, as usual,
deafening, the perfect case to fire another "incompetent" public servant, unless he's
knee deep in Rambos "release". The Judges, lawyers, evenh Rambo's [Youssef Ezzidine] own
lawyers seem to have no clue, yet the appeals charade goes on. The appeals layers should,
due to the fact that one of the "co-conspirators", a death row inmate, "disappears" without
a trace, no alarm bells ringing, should argue for this phony appeals trial null and void,
and a mistrial declared by the "no clue" sitting appeals judge. I'm dumbfounded too...........ll!

The criminal appeal case involving Youseff Ezzeedine against the state resumed yesterday Tuesday, 28th of June, 2011 before the Gambia Court of Appeal, presided over by the president of the Gambia Court of Appeal, Justice Joseph Wowo; Justice Sallah Wadda; and Justice Lamin AMS Jobarteh.

The appellant, Youseff Ezzeedine alias Rambo and seven others were earlier on the 15th of July 2010, sentenced to death by the High Court presided over by Justice Emmanuel Amadi for plotting to overthrow the democratically elected government of the Republic of The Gambia, by the use of force and arms contrary to Section 35 of the Criminal Code Laws of The Gambia.

The appellant, Youseff Ezzeedine however filed his notice of appeal separately with the other six convicted persons. The matter which was scheduled for the adoption of briefs by both sides was however adjourned to the 14th of July, 2011 at the instance of the appellant, when the appellant’s counsel, Hawa Sisay-Sabally drew the court’s attention to an anomaly in the notice of appeal, adding that the record before the court was incomplete.

Lawyer Sisay-Sabally cited a letter she wrote on the 27th of April, 2011, addressed to the Registrar of the court, copied to the Registrar of the Gambia Court of Appeal and to the respondent’s counsel, D.O Kulo. In the said letter, the appellant’s counsel urged the Court of Appeal to order the registrar of the High Court to make available the complete record of the proceedings before the said Court of Appeal. She submitted that the said missing records were contained in Volume 9 (nine) of the record of proceedings.
Lawyer Hawa Sisay-Sabally pointed out that the notice of appeal should read her client's name and not the names of Lang Tombong Tamba and others.

The Court of Appeal, in its brief ruling, Justice Joseph Wowo ordered that the Registrar of the High Court make available the said Volume of the record of proceedings of the Court of Appeal and to both parties. The court pointed out that it has taken judicial notice of the erroneous representation of the names of the notice of appeal, and assured the appellant’s counsel that the said error would be rectified.

Hearing continues on the 14th of July, 2011.

"YES but the clutches of justice still has a grip and is not letting go......" just a small mistake MOE, you did say I may correct you if I remember rightly from a previous post, of yours the sentence should read:

YES but the clutches of Gambian justice still has a grip and is not letting go......

Not so ?
