can someone help me with gambia rice, what is the quality/standard, is ti polish, rough broken, the best place to buy large quantities at least 1000 kilo can anyone help me.

Probably not, no one could tell me how to cook Beans the Gambian way! but there again, I am a white Englishman, you will probably have better luck Jambo

Jambo, there are various qualities and varities of rice in the Gambia. I have seen the rice mill in Kuntaur produce both polished and un-polished rice, broken and rough standards. There is the local rice and the new varities.
Do you mean rice produced in the Gambia or imported? |

Toubab, I can try to find out about the beans since im going to gambia this week. Do you mean the kind of brown ones that one sometimes have to breakfast? I love them and want to know how to cook them as well.

Thanks Inez,that's the ones nybee the locals call the cooked product,appriciated,I hadn't realised before not being a vegi that there are so many different types of brown beans ,what is the name of the bean they use ?. You chill out and enjoy yourself,but keep posting here before you go it sometimes gets lonely here,I miss Anna,she appears to have given up.

Very dear Toubab1020, you won't believe this: i stopped smoking 3 months ago. Reading Bantaba or the Dutch Gambiapage (even more hilarious) and posting there were typical 'cigarette related activities'(because mostly i got either very irritated or over exited). Have to stay away from the computer, only allowed computer time if it is work related. OK, on Mondays and Thursdays after work i can have a quick glance at what's going on (not too too much these days..). Still reading you, though! Careful with the beans, too much of anything..etc. |
