Due to the fact that a bantaba member considered my posting off topic (OK it probably was, sorry Momodou ) I thought that I should start another topic. Topic where I posted originally.

Here is a copy of my posting:
Gents, We all realise that there is NO EFFECTIVE OPPOSITION in the Gambia, mainly because of Personal POWER and the financial rewards that brings to those in power (in all countries !) no one is wiling to relinquish his power base to others in order to benefit the country,So stalemate, talk talk talk talk or blah..... blah.NO progress. Can I personally see a change ,NO. there is no will at all amongst the existing participants, just as I said Blah Blah.

I have a question for you. Do you think the quality of 'human capital', 'personality', 'skills', 'characters', 'knowledge' and 'character', 'ideology' significantly different between the governing party or an opposition party? |

Halifa Salah: PDOIS is however realistic. It is fully aware that the Gambian voters are yet to reach a level of political consciousness that they rely on to vote on the basis of Principles, policies and programmes and practices. |

Here is a little more evidence to back my view:

As Dalton1 writes in that posting:"I hope the latest bomb explosion at the opposition quarters serves as a lesson for all of them, that unity is the only way around. If they drag their feet in uniting, they will lose some of their folks to the APRC." |
