Yep, Kobo. Those guys at Jollof News are very sharp. For me, the most amusing time when it comes to these Jammeh sycophants uttering APRC nonsense is when he throws them in jail or simply fires them.

I would love to be a fly on the wall of Edward Gomez's house after he is rudely dismissed from his post. Would he really stand behind his words then?

There is no integrity or sanity left in The Gambia. I am heartbroken.

Watchman;

Jammeh's best Police Inspector once said “promotions in the Police force depend on loyalty to the president" guess where he is right now?

My uncle who was once a high ranking officer in the military visited me in 2008 and I spoke to him in confidence about the lack of rule of law in the Gambia. His response was “do not believe what the online newspapers report. Almost all Gambians in jail without trail were involved in some sort of wrongdoings” Guess where he is right now.

The point I am trying to make is that Gambians tend to care less about the truth and the welfare of fellow citizens. These so called intellectuals turn into sycophants as soon as they get hired because their livelihoods depend on the government.

A truer word was never spoken,it is a fact of life in the Gambia, a poor country, if an "opportunity" presents itself then you take it,to make life comparable to other countries where a better standard of living is available for the position that you hold in the Gambia,this means that your wife can have nice clothes the kids can be well educated etc etc,saleries in Gambia are paid which are not in line with the responsibilities that are expected of you in the position that you hold, again because Gambia is a poor country and cannot afford to pay proper saleries from collected taxes.Its an accepted fact of life that this happens.

"Simple is good" & I strongly dislike politics. You cannot defend the indefensible.
