Posted - 28 Nov 2014 : 10:48:33 It would appear from what Dr. Dawda Samba of the World Health Organization (WHO) Mental Health unit has said in the snippet below that mental health problems can be associated with the lifestyle and culture of the Gambian people, gender, historical acceptance of social practices, lack of female empowerment in relation to their total lack of choice in the way that they wish to live their lives,it is unfortunate that there will be the usual lack of participation by readers of Bantaba In Cyberspace posting their own opinions, however maybe this topic will be discussed by those other readers who are not members and give such readers a different way of thinking that Mental Health is very important to a county's wellbeing and not solely a medical condition.
SNIPPET. "Dr. Dawda Samba of the World Health Organization (WHO) Mental Health unit drew the attention of participants on some of the root causes of mental retardation, stating that certain substances such as cannabis, alcohol and cocaine as well as family pressure all result to mental illness."
