Dreadful situation could be on the horizon and if the people were aware of the report there would be so much hoarding by the suppliers/shopkeepers & compounds with the financial means to make the day to day ladies fish-money almost useless!

Unfortunate that a hacker has decided to attack the forum, but.....

Jammeh also said his government will no longer rely on the World Food program to feed school going students. He said with the diversification agriculture, he confident that Gambia's food production should be able to feed students.

Often the President statements remind me of Chairman Mao & The Little Red Book! maybe it is just around the corner for all Gambians.

Thanks Sab, this report makes painful reading and highlights a very very serious situation NOW which must not get overlooked by those in the administration and the decision makers.
I can only hope and pray that plans in place are able to negate the risks and cope, bearing in mind the rainy season is now here and Gambia has few good roads, especially in the areas most highlighted.and the availability of suitable vehicles to cope with such terrain.Consequences COULD be HORRIFIC.
