The people must be very relieved that this monster has been captured and taken his last human meal,80 years old,I wonder how long a croc lives?

Loads more the read in the link,if you are really interested.

"Longevity

Measuring crocodile age is unreliable, although several techniques are used to derive a reasonable guess. The most common method is to measure lamellar growth rings in bones and teeth—each ring corresponds to a change in growth rate which typically occurs once a year between dry and wet seasons.[56] Bearing these inaccuracies in mind, it can be safely said that all crocodile species have an average lifespan of at least 30–40 years, and in the case of larger species an average of 60–70 years. The oldest crocodiles appear to be the largest species. C. porosus is estimated to live around 70 years on average, with limited evidence of some individuals exceeding 100 years.[57]

A male crocodile lived to an estimated age of 110–115 years in a Russian zoo in Yekaterinburg.[58] Named Kolya, he joined the zoo around 1913 to 1915, fully grown, after touring in an animal show, and lived until 1995.[58]

A male freshwater crocodile lived to an estimated age of 120–140 years at the Australia Zoo.[59] Known affectionately as “Mr. Freshie”, he was rescued around 1970 by Bob Irwin and Steve Irwin, after being shot twice by hunters and losing an eye as a result, and lived until 2010.[59]2

Giant Man-Eating Crocodile Captured In Uganda

A 1,000kg crocodile said to have eaten four people on the shores of Lake Victoria has been captured.

Locals begged wildlife officials to hunt the reptile after it claimed its most recent victim, leaving Ugandan fishermen too scared to go out in their boats.

Friends of father-of-two Bosco Nyansi said they were only able to recover his clothes, which were found floating on the water, after he was mauled by the beast.

The crocodile was also blamed for seriously injuring a number of other fishermen at Wairaka, Rwabitooke, Masese and Wanyange in Jinja district, and Ntinkalu in Mayuge.

Experts managed to trap the animal with meat on a hook and it will now be transferred to the Murchison Falls national park.

More than a hundred locals and fishermen gathered to look at the crocodile as it was loaded on to a truck at Kakira.

Officials in Uganda believe the animal is 80 years old and weighs just 47kg less than the largest crocodile ever held in captivity - a 21ft saltwater crocodile named Lolong captured in the Philippins
