Posted - 23 Apr 2014 : 04:27:13 This seem to me a step in the right direction as a disabled person in Gambia is often perceived to be a sort of a non person for want of a better expression and such a disabled person is placed at a distinct disadvantage when applying for a job for instance, even marriage is often a problem for disabled people,my own opinion, others may disagree and post their own opinions,or perhaps not, as is usual on many postings here on Bantaba in Cyberspace.
Have a read here at the link below:

Posted - 21 Sep 2014 : 17:14:25 Due to the revamped Foroyaa this topic has disappeared from the archives that the link pointed to,I wonder if any such training ever took place, Anybody know ?,No? well that's a surprise, the disabled in Gambia always have been, still in the same social standing as they were.Ignored and appear invisible to most of the population of Gambia. |
