Message from MC Omar about his band:
GOOD OMEN started in the summer of 1997. After I ( Mc Omar ) left my former
band, I was looking for a singer who want to be part of a ragga and hip hop
band. Then I met Jenni in a local reggae bar and she decided to give it a
try.
Here we are today performing in night clubs and festivals all around
Finland. We have just finished recording our cd demo and the Mama Africa
track is saying more about our style of music. We like to come in different
languages - English, Wolof, Fula and Mandinga. Good Omen have more than 30
songs waiting for a producer. Our musical influences: Cutty Ranks, Super
Cat, The Fugees and the king of reggae Bob Marley. I will like to add that
brothers and sisters in Hip Hop and Ragga from all over Africa are doing a
fine job, so let`s keep it up for we are on the right track.
